An Australian and Afghan soldier on a patrol searching for potentially deadly improvised explosive devices (IEDs) in the Village of Musazai.
Mid caption: A recent mentored patrol near the village of Musazai, in the Mirabad Valley, clearly demonstrates the increasing capability of the Afghan National Police (ANP) and Afghan National Army (ANA). Increasingly, locals assist the ANP with information that leads to the capture of insurgents, their hidden IEDs and weapons caches.
As a result of the received information, a cordon and search operation was conducted and an individual was detained by the ANP. With the discovery of two cached IEDs, Australian Engineer elements were requested to assist the Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) to better exploit the area and to ensure no further caches or explosive threats were present. These searches led to further caches being found, the contents of these weapons stockpiles including ammunition, RPG rounds and further IED components.
These finds are the latest in a string of successful operations which continue to deny insurgents the tools they require to fight. Each patrol brings the ANSF one step closer to taking the lead in security and ensuring a safer future for the people of Uruzgan Province.

وی در ادامه می نویسد سربازان ما آرزو می کنند که از فرماندهی دستور بیاید! دیگر چیزی باقی نمانده است ، دشمن در ترس و وحشت قرار گرفته ودر حال فرار است، بله باید بگویم که به اتفاق من چهار تن از سربازان ناردارانی در منطقه هستند، و یک نفر نیز از روستای همسایگی ما ازمشت آقا وجود دارد، تمامی سربازان حاضر در منطقه با هم ارتباط تنگاتنگ و گرمی را دارند. این موضوع را نیز می دانم که پدرم آرزو دارد تا من شهید شوم. من همیشه تلاش می کنم که همیشه تو به من افتخار کنی و سرت را بالا بگیری اگر شهید شوم نزار مادرم گریه کند.
